I blew out 40 candles today,
and I don't feel any different.
I spent it with my wonderful extended family,
have spent time with my very sick dad. Ate red
velvet cake and shared a party with my mom who
turns 80 on Tuesday.
I am ready to head back to Portland and have
a great new year.
Happy day to me!

Many blessings as you enter another decade.
Yum, red velvet cake, Johnny's mom used to make that, haven't had it for a long time.

No fair, you're younger than me. :)
I sure wish I was going to Pepperdine this year. My husband's stoopid job and my daughter's choir trip have both ruined those chances. I will miss seeing several friends because we aren't going. (Pardon me while I hang the streamers for my pity party.)
Are you driving??? Maybe we could meet up on your way there or back.
